Middle School Transportation

Middle school transportation is provided for all grades 6 through 8 students who reside over one and half miles from their assigned school. Middle school sessions run from 8:15 a.m. to 2:25 p.m.

Some exceptions to the one and half mile guidelines exist for safety reasons. Please call the Transportation Services for those exceptions.

Seat assignments will be posted by the driver. Seating is designed to accommodate two, and in some cases three middle school students per seat under normal circumstances.

Bus stops for middle school students are designed with safety in mind. Most middle school stops are centralized to accommodate large numbers of students. Generally stops are located within one half of a mile of a student’s home.

Schedules generally do not change from year to year. All middle school students are provided with a bus schedule for the new school year prior to close of school in June. Schedules are also posted at each middle school or available by contacting Transportation Services at 767-7714.
